2. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that contain small amounts of information and store information, such as your language preference, when you visit our Website.  These cookies are stored on your computer, tablet or smartphone when you visit our Website. Cookies may contain personally identifiable information, but this is not always the case.

When you visit our Website again at a later time, this cookie will send information to the Website so that the Website recognises your browser and can, for example, remember your language preference. Some cookies are used to enable certain functions on the Website or to measure how website visitors use our Website so that we can use this information to optimise the Website.

Cookies often have an expiry date, which means that they are automatically deleted after a certain time. Some cookies are deleted immediately after the browser is closed, such as session cookies, while other cookies remain on your device for a longer period of time.

3. Which cookies & why
When you visit and/or use our Website, we use cookies or similar technologies in order to collect and process personal data about you. Such cookies and similar technologies include:

Strictly necessary/essential and functional cookies

Strictly necessary cookies are essential for being able to navigate around the Website and use the features offered. Functional cookies remember the choices you have made, such as the country you visit the Website from, language preference and search parameters. Without these cookies, we cannot provide the services requested, such as remembering your login details. These cookies therefore ensure that we can offer you a more pleasant experience that better reflects your preferences. These cookies cannot track your browsing activity on other websites.

We may install these cookies without asking for your consent.

Marketing cookies or advertising cookies

These cookies collect information about your browsing habits to better tailor ads to your preferences. They are also used to limit the number of times you see a particular ad and to measure the effectiveness of an advertising campaign. These cookies are usually placed by third-party advertising networks. They remember the websites you visit and this information is shared with other parties such as advertisers. For example, we use external companies to show you more targeted ads when you visit other websites. You can see which companies we use in the table below.

These cookies are only installed on your device after you have given your consent.

These cookies collect anonymous information about how people use our Website. We use these cookies to find out how customers arrive at our Website, how they browse or use our Website and what can be improved, such as navigation and marketing campaigns. The data stored by these cookies do not contain any personal information that could be used to identity you.

Social media cookies/plugins

These cookies enable you to share what you have done on the Website on social media such as Facebook and LinkedIn. We have no control over these cookies. Here, the social media platform itself also acts as a data controller. Please refer to the privacy policy of the respective social media platform for more information about the operation and use of these cookies.

These cookies are only installed on your device after you have given your consent.

4. How are your data used and shared?

We may process and share the information we obtain through cookies with:

  • companies that belong to the group and/or with affiliates of the group; or
  • with any third party you have asked us to share your personal data with or with organisations with which you have agreed to share information, such as Facebook or other social media acting as data controllers; or
  • third parties who assist us with our Services. Some examples of third-party activities are data analysis and marketing support services. These companies are given access to the information processed through the cookies, but only when it is strictly necessary to carry out their activities. They may not use your data for any other purpose.

5. Transfer of your personal data
We may transfer your personal data to third parties who are located in third countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA). This transfer of data outside the EEA is lawful if the recipient of the data is located in a country that provides an adequate level of protection following an adequacy decision by the European Commission. It is possible that some of these countries do not have equivalent data protection legislation to protect the use of your personal data. In this case, appropriate safeguards must be put in place, such as standard contractual clauses.
