IT specialist Cheops signs strategic partnership with Chequers Capital

Strengthened Belgian base for foreign expansion

Kontich, 25 July 2023 - Cheops, the leading Managed Services Provider, is joining forces with Chequers Capital as a new strategic partner. This partnership will allow Cheops to realise its ambition for national and international growth.

Chequers Capital is one of Europe's most renowned international private equity groups. As an experienced and stable partner, this fund provides Cheops with access to its international network.

This investment in Cheops confirms the successful trajectory the IT specialist has been on over the past few years and shows confidence in the company's continued growth potential. Chequers Capital is investing in Cheops from its 18th fund.

The investment fund is redeeming Indufin Investment Fund within Cheops' structure. Chequers Capital moves into the position of majority shareholder. CEO Filip Goos remains reference shareholder, reinvesting with management.

We are impressed by Cheops' consistent growth, entrepreneurial management team, and ability to retain quality customers. Cheops is building on the recipe for success of service excellence and succeeding in further scaling the business while maintaining its operational strength. We are particularly pleased to join Filip Goos and the team. This will allow us to continue building on this growth story together organically and with strategic acquisitions at home and abroad.

- Aurélien Klein, Managing Partner Chequers Capital

As a specialised Managed Service Provider, Cheops is an indispensable support and advocate for our customers. The digitisation of the economy is accelerating, combined with the increasing complexity of IT systems. Moreover, talent is scarce in this sector. By working with us, companies can move quickly without having to make extensive investments themselves. From its strengthened position with Chequers Capital, Cheops will now further focus on developing innovative solutions. These offer real added value for our customers' businesses.

- Filip Goos, CEO of Cheops

Cheops can grow further thanks to this new partnership, both organically and through acquisitions. The IT specialist is initially considering targeted acquisitions in areas such as Workplace Management, Cloud, and Cybersecurity, both in Belgium and neighbouring countries.

Cheops wishes to explicitly thank Indufin for the happy and successful cooperation over the past five years.
