Cheops takes major strategic step in growth ambitions, appointing Filip Goos as Group CEO and Kenny Dierickx as CEO with immediate effect
Kontich, 6 February 2024 - Leading Belgian Managed Service Provider, Cheops Technology, announces the appointment of Filip Goos, Cheops Technology's current CEO, as Group CEO. The operational management of the company will be in the hands of Kenny Dierickx who, after 9 years at Cheops, will become the company's new CEO. Both appointments are an important strategic step for Cheops in its mission to become a leading Managed Service Provider, both nationally and internationally.
Since Cheops Technology partnered with private equity group Chequers Capital as a strategic partner in July 2023, the IT specialist has been building on its long-term goal of becoming the leading MSP (Managed Service Provider) and achieving national and international growth. On top of the experience and resources brought in by Chequers Capital, Cheops Technology is now making the necessary organisational adjustments to achieve these long-term goals.
Adjustments aimed at strategic objectives and expansion
Filip Goos, Cheops Technology's current CEO, is designated Group CEO. Kenny Dierickx, who is currently Director Managed Services, will take over the role of CEO. By focusing on the strategic tasks at group level on the one hand, and the operational operation and implementation of the strategy on the other, the company aims to accelerate its growth ambitions.
As Group CEO, Filip Goos will henceforth focus on the strategic vision and further national and international expansion of the company, both organically and through targeted acquisitions. He will also remain Chairman of the Board of Directors. As CEO of Cheops, Kenny Dierickx will lead day-to-day operations and implement strategic policies.
New CEO with many years of experience on the counter
Kenny Dierickx has more than 20 years of experience in service delivery, operations and management in the IT sector. Over the past nine years, he grew within Cheops' own ranks to become Director Managed Services. He has a true passion for as-a-service models and brings an in-depth knowledge of the IT services business, industry and customers. This experience ensures a smooth transition and the necessary continuity.
This will allow Cheops to focus even more on strengthening its position as a leading Managed Service Provider (MSP). Offering lasting added value to clients, through the development of new innovative solutions, is central to this. Moreover, the company's growth ambitions also create numerous career opportunities for employees. Their personal and professional growth is encouraged and supported through the Cheops Talent Factory and Academy, among others.
Answers to the IT challenges of the future
In a time of rapid digitalisation, growing complexity of IT environments and increasing cyber threats, Cheops, as a specialised Managed Service Provider, remains an indispensable IT partner for its customers. Kenny Dierickx emphasises: "It is our ambition to support our customers with innovative solutions, a reliable and scalable IT environment and proactive services, led by the best IT Experts."
Filip Goos adds: "With the Cheops Talent Factory and Academy, our renowned training and development programme, we attract the best IT talent. We offer them extensive growth opportunities and maximum support in shaping their IT careers. Every day, our Talent Managers guide employees in their careers as IT experts. Being ambitious and entrepreneurial is in our DNA and characterises our unique corporate culture."
"With the support of Chequers Capital, from an even stronger position, we will be able to put additional focus on providing real added value to our customers and employees," Filip Goos said.
Cheops will continue to pursue growth, both organically and through targeted acquisitions. The company expects to achieve a turnover of more than €65 million by 2024. The focus is on areas such as Modern Workplace, Cloud, Cybersecurity and Business Applications.
