Cheops still showing strong
growth: Trends Gazelle for
the ninth time

Edegem, 27 februari 2019 - In 2018, IT service provider Cheops increased its turnover to 36.4 million euros, a growth of 20% compared to 2017. This result means that for the ninth time in a row, Cheops is entitled to call itself a Trends Gazelle in 2019, an accolade for the fastest growing companies.

Cheops sees the final breakthrough of the cloud as the primary driver of this growth. What is more, companies have demonstrated their need to have their cloud managed by external partners. The most substantial growth was in services related to IT outsourcing, with turnover in the area of Managed Services increasing by 42%.

In 2018, Cheops added some more great names to its customer portfolio, such as Lear Corporation, Duvel Moortgat and Alcopa.

Filip Goos, the CEO of Cheops, comments: “More and more companies are looking for specialised partners to help them manage their IT. This enables them to free up more time and resources to concentrate on customer-oriented innovations.”

In 2018, the company again focused on cloud environments and the standardisation of its services. It mainly invested in the Network Operating Center and cloud infrastructure. Cheops guarantees 99.999% availability of its IT systems.

Filip Goos: “Cheops is unique in Belgium in that it gives medium-sized companies access to an IT platform of this level, usually reserved to large companies. Of course, to be able to do this, multimillion-euro investment as well as sufficient scale are needed. There are large, mainly international groups with similar cloud infrastructures, but they are usually located abroad. However, we have found that many companies prefer to keep their data in their own countries.”

Ninth time in a row

In 2019, Cheops is once again featured on the highly desirable list of Trends Gazelles, selected by the editors of the business magazine Trends. These are the fastest-growing companies measured in terms of turnover, personnel and added value. Cheops’ nomination - for the ninth consecutive time - is valuable acknowledgement that Cheops is one of the fastest growing companies.

“This ninth nomination in a row is a wonderful boost for all Cheops' employees, who are working every day to guarantee customer satisfaction in a world that is digitizing faster and faster,” concludes Filip Goos, the CEO of Cheops.
