Digital access is no longer a luxury today, but a basic requirement to learn, grow and seize opportunities. That’s why Telenet Group continues to support the Heartware project, now with a donation of 100 laptops to children and young people at risk of digital exclusion.
Heartware is an initiative by Ondernemers voor een Warm België (OVWB). With the sustainable support of Telenet, OVWB collects used laptops. These devices are professionally wiped and prepared for reuse by TD SYNNEX, after which they are distributed to children, young people, and families without access to digital education. In this way, decommissioned hardware gets a second life as true heartware: technology with a heart.
A conscious commitment to social impact
Over the past year, Telenet renewed a large part of its laptop fleet as a customer of Cheops. Instead of leaving these devices unused, the company deliberately chose to redeploy them— as a structural partner of Heartware—where they can truly make a difference.
With the practical support of Cheops, the collection and coordination of 100 laptops was smoothly organized, ensuring the devices quickly found their way to OVWB and then to the schools and families who need them most.
The need remains high, and waiting lists are long. Thanks to this new donation, 100 young people once again gain access to digital learning, homework support and online development.
