The 2018 Inc. 5000 Europe list consists of the 5000 fastest growing private companies in Europe, based on revenue growth over a period of three years. The list is the European counterpart of the Inc. 5000 – the list of fastest growing private companies in America, which in the past has included companies such as Intuit, Microsoft, Timberland, Patagonia and Oracle.
“In Europe, HelloFresh, Dyson and Coolblue were already on the list,” says Filip Goos, CEO of Cheops. “As a company, it is nice to receive recognition by seeing our name appear on this list. The entire list consist of companies that work in an extremely customer-focused way and see this translated into the continued confidence of their customers.”
“The private companies that are on this list make a substantial contribution to growth, innovation and employment in Europe. They could well include the future Facebooks, Googles or Amazons,” concludes Filip Goos.
Methodology
The 2018 Inc. 5000 Europe list ranks the companies according to their growth rate in the period 2013-2016. In order to qualify, the companies must have been founded in Europe and generated revenue by 31 March 2013. They must be privately held, with the aim of making a profit, and be independent – not a subsidiary or division of another company on 31 December 2016.
